Frank N. Stein from Canada writes: BAAA HAAAA BAAA HAAAAAAAAAAA ...

6% below 1990 levels, when in 2012, we will have 30% more population.

And Canada does not even contribute in any measurable way to global warming, so while Kyoto is a political gesture, it's a totally meaningless waste of time/money for Canada and the CO2 effort.

The ONLY way to achieve 6% CO2 reduction below 1990 is to implement a communist government, and declare martial law on industry and cars and destroy our country.

The UN can go suck on a log. With the UN demanding the destruction of Canada - this is war. Posted 19/11/07 at 9:25 AM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment .

FBI and UK police planning global suspect database

Server in the Sky is an FBI initiative designed to foster the advanced search and exchange of biometric information on a global scale.

"While it is currently in the concept and design stages, once complete it will provide a technical forum for member nations to submit biometric search requests to other nations."

A Home Office spokesman said: "We are aware of the proposed project. As you would expect we consider a wide range of initiatives as we constantly look to enhance our investigative capabilities. Relevant safeguards are always considered as part of this process."

The UK currently holds a database known as IDENT1 which contains of 7 million sets of fingerprints and other biometric details which are used by police at the scenes of crimes.

Many of the prints are from a person with either no criminal record or they have yet to have been matched with a named individual.

Chelsea two good for Spurs

New signing Nicolas Anelka made his Chelsea debut, but goals from Juliano Belletti and Shaun Wright-Phillips secured a 2-0 win over Tottenham for Avram Grant's side.

The game was settled by Belletti's 30-yard screamer in the 19th minute and another from Wright-Phillips 10 minutes from time.

Tottenham were hoping to record their first victory at Stamford Bridge in almost 18 years but found themselves under sustained pressure in the opening moments.

There seemed little danger to Tottenham when Belletti collected the ball just inside the away half, but he moved forward before unleashing a 30-yard drive that soared into the roof of the net beyond Radek Cerny.

Spurs should have equalised in the 29th minute when Aaron Lennon's cross found Steed Malbranque, but his volley was saved well by Petr Cech.

Sex and stickiness

But it was felt that 'hot' was too sexy a term for a business information website. So instead the category became: 'Today's Top Stories' - even though they aren't necessarily the top stories in terms of importance or editorial judgement. Sex is admittedly very 'sticky' in terms of web content. It not only gets people onto sites, it keeps them there. It brings them back. No wonder that sex is considered such a driver of new technology. As Peter Johnson notes in his essay 'Why Not to Censor the Internet': 'Throughout the history of new media, from vernacular speech to movable type, to photography, to paperback books, to videotape, to cable and pay-TV, to '900' phone lines, to the French Minitel, to the Internet, to CD-ROMs and laser discs, pornography has shown technology the way.' Building sticky websites But this isn't much help in much of the Arab world.
